That's so sad...but I hope your church or another church in town can help them and more permanently like you said, not a one month fix. Sometimes we take for granted what we have and when you see a family struggling like they are it reminds you of how lucky you are. They are lucky to have you living across the street. Some people would just ignore it.

Thanks for reminding me of her music--she finally has new stuff up on her myspace, and I just downloaded "Plainsong" from amazon. I'm giving it a first listen now. Lovely.

Your table looks so much like mine! Crazy full of fabrics, books, computers, cameras, mail...you name it. I try to clean it off at the end of each day, but sometimes I just don't & it piles up all the more.
